A step back

In August, I played with a much-changed Dennis Remme band at the lovely Gogstock event, in Goginan, near Aberystwyth. It was mainly a set of very old songs, but one was more recent, reflecting – playfully, I hope – on the times that the rest of the set represented. This was ‘Cumberland Avenue’.

It was the loudest band I have ever played in! The only ‘old’ (or old, actually) members of the Dennis Remme band on stage were drummer, Jem, and myself. We were enhanced and loudened by Llew (lead guitar), Tim (bass) and Gerry (sax). The volume and the performance actually felt as if they were what the song called for. It can be viewed here:
